KASSANDRA DOYLE TAYLOR

Attorneys

Kassandra Doyle Taylor’s distinguished academic record coupled with real-world legal experience has given her an atypical perspective on the practice of law. She is a seasoned maritime litigator whose experience includes successful handling of a matter that media reports described as the largest recreational vessel accident in Florida’s history and has successfully obtained multiple defense verdicts on behalf of her clients.

Ms. Taylor has spent her entire career specializing in admiralty and maritime litigation, including defending underwriters, corporations, and individuals in personal injury claims, first and third party insurance claims, crew and passenger claims, general commercial disputes in state and federal court, and appellate practice. Ms. Taylor works closely with major cruise lines, P&I clubs, and insurance underwriters on a daily basis. She has participated in multiple trials on the state and federal level, international arbitrations, and has drafted briefs and presented oral argument to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Taylor had a distinguished academic career replete with honors and recognition for her leadership. She is a proud Blue Devil and graduate of Duke University. At the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, Ms. Taylor served as President of the Law College Counsel, was selected as Student of the Year by the John Marshall Bar Association, and graduated in the top 10% of her class. She also served as a clerk to the Honorable Ysleta McDonald, Eighth Judicial Circuit, and worked in the litigation areas of two of South Florida’s best known law firms.

When she is not zealously defending her clients, Ms. Taylor is a volunteer Guardian ad Litem, appointed by the court to protect the rights and advocate for the best interests of the children she represents.
